How does heat recovery work?
Heat recovery units are essentially supply-and-extract systems. This means they remove stale or contaminated air from your indoor environment, whilst delivering fresh, filtered, breathable air into the building.
Where they differ from standard ventilation systems is that they are able to transfer heat, which would otherwise be dispelled into the atmosphere and lost, back into the incoming air flow.
